Nigula bog

Nigula is a protected bog with small islands of forest scattered across it. The boardwalk runs out towards one of them before turning back.

Birdwatchers come in spring and autumn when cranes gather on the open bog. Keep voices low and you will hear them long before you see them.

Because it is further from the main roads, Nigula is often empty on weekdays.

Stay on the boardwalk in the reserve; parts of the bog are closed to visitors during the nesting season.
